About
Nestled in the charming heart of Florence, Club culinario toscano da Osvaldo beckons food lovers with the promise of authentic Tuscan flavors and a warm embrace of Italian hospitality. Located at Piazza dei Peruzzi, 3/r, this restaurant is a hidden gem where every dish tells a story of tradition and quality.
As you step inside, you are greeted not just by the tantalizing aromas wafting from the kitchen, but by a team dedicated to creating a welcoming atmosphere that makes you feel at home. Just ask regulars like Sean Walklin, who passionately describes this establishment as his favorite restaurant in the world. His praise highlights how Owner and Chef Damiano has masterfully combined personal service with uncompromising ingredient standards to deliver consistently satisfying meals.
The menu is a celebration of Tuscan cuisine, featuring delectable highlights such as fusilli with sausage and truffle, which brings a harmonious blend of flavors; potato-filled pasta with wild boar, a must-try for those looking to indulge in the region's unique offerings; and the ever-popular cacio e pepe filled pasta that effortlessly showcases the simplicity yet depth of Italian cooking. For seafood lovers, any dish prepared with fresh ingredients from the coastal regions will be a revelation.
When it comes to secondi, the Bistecca is a standout, though many frequent diners seem to prefer the smaller filet for its melt-in-the-mouth tenderness. Complementing your meal with fried potatoes and spinach adds a comforting touch to an already delightful experience.
Make sure to save room for dessert, where tiramisù is highly recommended. Each bite is a masterclass in balance and flavor, embodying the essence of Italian dolci perfectly.

“ We stumbled in here for a late lunch when there were only a few people in the restaurant. It took a few minutes but they sat 9 of us, and the next 3 hours were amazing! Our server warmed up to us after we starting hitting the very good wine list hard and each of us had at least 3 courses. The pastas were so fresh and good, as good as we had in Florence. Several of the dishes were unique to Tuscany and authentic. Desserts were great as well. Anxious to go back on our trip in May- that good! ”
“ We were in Tuscany for 10 days and this is the only place we loved enough to eat at twice. We did not have a bad dish, but try the rabbit if they have it, or the veal with tuna sauce. Boar pasta pictured. Thank you! ”
“ We had zuccini flower with a ham - so godlike; it’s perfect for a starter, and truffle pasta with salsiccia with onion and truffle ia a very nice combination and don’t forget to order a cheesecake, it’s also a masterpiece. Our waiter Marco was a one in a thousand - cheerful, happy, helpful and lightened up our day!:) highly recommendable!:) ”
“ This was the best meal I've had in Italy. The staff is amazing and the food incredible. The atmosphere is perfect if you're looking for a small, neighborhood restaurant where the food is what's most important!!! ”
“ This is my favorite restaurant in the world. I have eaten at 3 Michelin starred restaurants in the USA and Europe, great street food and everything in-between and nowhere have I found such a great mixture of true hospitality and food quality. Owner/chef Damiano has built something special that is authentically Italian and, if you are open to it, will make you feel at home. Personable service and uncompromising ingredient standards combine with technique to provide you with consistently satisfying meals. I have eaten here probably 50 times over 14 years and have never had a disappointing dish, let alone meal. I recommend coming during at least two times to find some favorite dishes and get to know the staff a little bit. Highlights- Antipasti: Tuscan pate, eggplant parmigiana, braised beef croquettes, fried zucchini flowers, truffle omelette Pasta: fusilli with sausage and truffle, potato filled pasta with wild boar, ricotta ravioli with sage, anything with seafood, cacio e Pepe filled pasta Secondi & sides: great Bistecca but I usually get the smaller filet, rabbit, fried potatoes, spinach Dolci : They are all good but do one thing- order the tiramisu ”
“ Seriously considering going back to Florence just for this place. We went twice because we loved it so much! We tried the cheese platter, the Tortellini di Patate, Raviolin « Plin », Beef sirloin, Eggplant parmigiana, Polpette di Bollito, Canellini beans, tiramisu and raw cheesecake and literally everything was awesome. Every bite of every dish was 10/10, PLUS the restaurant is so cozy and the service staff is amazing, but i do recommend getting a reservation! ”
“ Great, authentic restaurant in the heart of Florence. We came during lunch hours without a reservation during the work week and got a table right away. The server was extremely nice and welcoming. The food was clearly homemade, tasty and well priced. We had a really lovely time and we'll be coming back. :) ”
“ Favorite meal—loved the stuffed zucchini flowers and meatballs, stewed rabbit was delicious, pasta was fresh, house wine was tasty. The service was warm and attentive, and the atmosphere was cozy. Prices were a little higher than our tight travel budget usually allows, but we went for a special meal based on a recommendation, and we were glad we did. ”
